Sultana Raisin Light Brown
Sultana Raisin Light Brown are dried Seedless grapes of the Vitis vinifera species. Customers also know this raisin as Malayer Raisin or Seedless Thompson.
As it is clear from its name the color of this raisin is light brown. Farmers start processing the light brown raisin by double washing it. Then we dry it in the shadows and coat it with vegetable oil so it doesn’t lose its moisture too quickly. Also, so the berries don’t stick to each other. Besides, the oil gives berries a moderate shine. The next step is to remove the stems and clean them. The final step is laser sorting them.
Because of the high sugar level of raisins, they taste quite sweet.
The Standard Level of SO2 (Sulfur dioxide) for Light Brown Raisins is between 500-600 ppm. However, please note we can process raisins with a higher or lower SO2 level based on the customer`s order.
This raisin berry size is generally between 290 to 300 pieces per 100 gr. So, Compared to Sultana Dark Brown they are a bit bigger.
This type of raisin has high demand among customers. Because Malayer Raisins have a wide variety of uses. For example, customers use this type of raisin for the following purposes:

Sultana Raisin Light Brown`s Harvest Season starts in late September and mid-October. So, our suggestion for customers is to book their orders in the first weeks of September. However please note raisins will be available during the year.
This type of raisin prefers to grow on hillsides and the skirts of mountains. Because Iran has many mountainous areas, farmers can grow this raisin in many provinces. For example, you can find vineyards in West & East Azerbaijan, Hamedan, Markazi, Qazvin, North Khorasan, and Shiraz.
